At BOXABL, our mission is to revolutionize the standard of housing construction and affordability with an innovative, technology-based solution to mass produce homes using advanced manufacturing.

Our Story

When we began our initial research and development in 2017, we asked ourselves why housing wasn’t being mass produced at a factory like almost every other major product category in the world. We began developing a building system that had the potential to solve that very problem. Through our patented production process, we’ve been able to create a platform that allows for modular, prefabricated homes that are produced at scale in a factory and can fold up for transportation to the final installation location. Because of this, we believe the Casita has the potential to bring high quality, affordable homes to the mass market in ways that have never been done before.

While we believe the Casita, our 19ft x 19ft 361 sq ft studio style home, is going to kickstart the affordable housing revolution, we also have big ambitions on how we plan to build the world. At our core, our patented manufacturing process will allow our products to be scalable to allow people to construct their dream house in many different configurations. Our Casitas can be stacked and connected to create larger structures, and we are in the process of exploring the addition of larger base units to our product lineup to create even more possibilities for what people can build using BOXABL as their base.

The potential impact of our products will go way beyond just the individual consumer. We believe that there is limitless potential on the large-scale development side of things where entities such as housing developments, governments, workforce housing projects, and tribes will be able to utilize our products to deploy their potential projects effectively, efficiently, and at scale. We are just getting started!

The Origin
2017
The Origin
BOXABL was started in 2017 by father-son duo Paolo and Galiano Tiramani. Paolo is an industrial and mechanical engineer who has over 150 patent filings, and Galiano is a serial technology entrepreneur. BOXABL started with $2,000,000 invested from the co-founders. They began R&D, testing, and spent time scouring the planet for alternate building materials and construction methods that would enable the automotive-style mass production of houses.

International Builders' Show

Only a few quick years after BOXABLs inception, BOXABL was invited to attend the International Builders' Show in Las Vegas. BOXABL designed and produced the first few prototypes of the Casita, and public interest in the company began to snowball following the show.

Federal Contract

Federal Contract
In May of 2021, BOXABL received a federal contract worth more than $9,000,000 to build and deliver 156 Casitas for use at a military base. This was the first large scale order that BOXABL received for the Casita, and the order was successfully fulfilled by the team.

Factory Building 1

Factory Building 1
BOXABL broke ground on our first factory, dubbed Factory Building 1, in Las Vegas, NV. This 170,000 square foot manufacturing facility was a major milestone for the company and provided us with the ability to begin low-volume production of our Casita. Factory building 1 going online allowed us to prove our concept, and make the case for the world’s most advanced assembly line for the mass production of housing.

In February of 2022, BOXABL announced a partnership agreement with homebuilder DR Horton. This partnership was the first of its kind for BOXABL, and included invest & resource sharing, as well as a phase 1 order for 100 Casitas.

Factory Building 2 & 3

Factory Building 2 & 3
BOXABL knew that one factory building wasn’t going to be enough to build the world. In 2023, we were able to bring our second and third factory buildings online, dubbed Factory Building 2 and Factory Building 3, at our existing location in Las Vegas, NV. These factory buildings will allow us to scale our existing production, as well as open the door for additional products to be produced in the future.

The Billion-Dollar BOXZILLA Factory
BOXABL is currently in the planning stages for the next step in our housing revolution – a multimillion square foot factory that could exponentially increase the number of homes we’re able to build every year. We plan for this factory to take advantage of advanced automation equipment, as well as economies of scale, which will propel our high quality affordable homes into the mainstream.
